Actress Ellen Barkin: Trump ‘responsible for more deaths’ than presidents during Vietnam War

.

Actress Ellen Barkin claimed President Trump is “responsible for more deaths” than the presidents who led the country during the Vietnam War.

The actress of The Big Easy and Ocean’s Thirteen fame tweeted Wednesday, “Trump is responsible for more deaths than Kennedy Johnson and Nixon. He will go down in history as the Stalin of incompetence and greed.”

Barkin’s tweet appears to be a reference to the coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed nearly 47,000 lives in the United States. By comparison, the Vietnam War killed more than 58,000 American soldiers. Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin is credited with killing millions, but experts have debated the exact number.

The actress joins a growing list of Hollywood stars who have slammed the president and his administration’s response to the coronavirus.

Actor Michael Rapaport recently shared a meme saying followers should “never forget” that first lady Melania Trump and the president are “a hooker and a con man.” Actress Debra Messing, actor Alec Baldwin, and comedian Jason Alexander have also all criticized Trump during the pandemic.
